Exfoliating Sugar Lip Scrub

Our lips, like any other parts of our body like the face needs some scrubbing to remove dead skin cells as well as bacteria that are stocked in it. Dead skin cells can cause your lips to have some dark spots which is not good to look at.

Exfoliating your skin is also a good practice because it improves blood circulation. In this article you learn how to create a very simple and cost-effective lip scrub using sugar as the main ingredients.

Prepare the following Ingredients before we start with the process:

- 3 tbsp cane or brown sugar
- 2 drops of lavender essential oil
- 1 tbsp organic honey
- 1 tbsp coconut oil

The micro beads in sugar serves as natural scrubbing agent that will lift away dead skin cells allowing the skin in your lips to regenerate and create new skin cells. Coconut and lavender oil will work together in keeping the moisture of your lips during and after the process of scrubbing. On the other hand, honey will not just give your scrub that sweet taste but it will also kill the bacteria in your lips.

To enjoy this sugar lip scrub, you may follow the instructions below:

1. Gather all the ingredients and put them in a clean dry bowl.

2. Mix them properly using a fork and place it in an airtight container.

3. Scoop generous amount of the scrub using the tip of your finger.

4. Apply it on your upper and lower lips then gently rub it for 2- 5 minutes.

5. Wipe off the excess using a tissue or damp cloth.

Note: Remember not to overdo the exfoliation of your lips and do it only for once a week. If it is winter season, you may do the scrubbing twice a week. You may also put lip moisturizer every time you scrub to retain the moisture of your lips.
