Natural Lip Scrub

Scrubbing is essential to remove dead skin cells and glowing skin. Exfoliating your lips keeps them feeling and looking health.

Here are some tips and homemade recipe's you can try to exfoliate your lips gently and naturally.

Honey Sugar Lip Scrub

Honey in general can lighten your dark skin, especially the lips. Honey is also rich in bleaching agents that generally remove the darkness of the lip skin. While sugar on the other hand is a natural humectant, meaning it draws moisture from the environment into the skin. So when you apply sugar lip scrub, they'll actually help hydrate your skin and keep moisture within.It also helps to fade dark pigmentation on lips and makes lips soft and pink.

You will need:

1 teaspoon honey
2 teaspoons sugar


Mix sugar and honey in bowl.
Stir it well until it turns into a paste.
Scoop a generous amount using your finger.
Massage the mixture into your lips and leave for 10 minutes or so.
Remove with the help of a wet face washer.
Coconut and Honey Lip Scrub

Coconut oil is filled with antioxidants and fatty acids that nourish the skin, while the brown sugar acts as a natural exfoliator that helps remove dead, dry skin. Honey on the other hand is rich in natural healing properties which helps treat skin discoloration.

You will need:

1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon organic honey
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 tablespoon lukewarm water


Mix coconut oil and honey in a bowl.
Add the brown sugar and the lukewarm water to this mixture.
Stir until it turns into a paste.
Rub the mixture on your lips in a circular motion for two to three minutes.
Rinse with lukewarm water.


Exfoliate gently.
Exfoliate at least thrice a week.
Moisturize after you exfoliate.
