Banana Hair Mask To Tame Frizzy Hair

Dry, frizzy hair is often the result of lack of moisture and nourishment. Other causes include humidity, frequent use of a hairdryer, using products with strong, harsh chemicals or using the wrong hair care products.

Banana Hair Mask

Bananas are rich in natural oils and nutrients like calcium, potassium and carbohydrates. It helps hydrate and nourish dry and brittle hair, improving its elasticity and shine. This wonderful fruit also enriches your hair follicles, thereby promoting hair growth.

Whole milk is also one of the ingredients in this recipe. It contains proteins that further nourish and strengthen your hair. Last but not the least is cocoa powder. 

It also contains protein and an extremely high level of antioxidants, which also help the scalp to grow longer, stronger and healthier hair. Using cocoa powder in a hair mask or treatment not only adds perfect dark tones to hair, but adds moisture, shine and volume to hair while promoting growth.

For this hair mask, you will need:
1 pc banana
whole milk (as needed to make a paste)
2 teasspoons cocoa powder


Peel the banana and mash it in a bowl using a fork until its texture is fine.
Add whole milk and cocoa to the mashed banana and whisk it until all the ingredients are mixed together and turns into a paste.
Scoop a generous amount using your hand or a brush and apply it on your hair from roots to the tips.
Leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes to allow the ingredients do their work.
Wash your hair with a gentle cleansing shampoo and let it air-dry.

Note: You can use this mask atleast once a week to tame your frizzy hair.
